Polished Concrete

Transform Your Existing Slab Into a Durable, High-Performance Finish

Polished concrete isn’t a coating—it’s the slab itself, mechanically refined. The original concrete mixture, finishing quality, floor flatness, curing practices, and jobsite conditions all influence the final appearance and durability of the polished surface.

Our process mechanically grinds, densifies, and refines the existing slab to increase surface strength, reduce dusting, improve light reflectivity, and enhance long-term durability. Using precision diamond tooling along with professional-grade densifiers and sealers, we harden and polish the concrete to withstand heavy traffic forklift use traffic and daily operational demands.

The result is a clean, durable finish achieved through true mechanical refinement—minimizing maintenance while maximizing long-term floor performance

The Loral Polishing Method

Every successful polished concrete floor begins with evaluating the existing slab. From there, we follow a controlled, multi-step grinding and polishing sequence designed to strengthen and refine the surface without compromising the slab itself:

Any existing coatings, contaminants, or surface irregularities are mechanically removed. This exposes clean concrete and creates a uniform foundation for refinement.

Using progressively finer diamond tooling, we mechanically refine the concrete surface to flatten high spots, remove minor imperfections, and establish the desired exposure level. This controlled grinding sequence begins the polishing process while maintaining slab integrity and uniform surface consistency.

A professional-grade penetrating densifier is applied to chemically react with the concrete, increasing surface hardness and reducing dusting.

The floor is honed through progressively finer grits to achieve the specified sheen level, from a low-satin industrial finish to a higher-gloss reflective surface.

A commercial-grade protective sealer is applied to enhance stain resistance and long-term durability while maintaining the natural appearance of the concrete. The result is a structurally sound, hardened surface built to perform under heavy traffic and daily operational demands.

Finish Levels & Protective Systems

Each polished concrete floor is refined to meet your facility’s operational demands. Finish levels can range from a cream polish to full aggregate exposure, depending on the desired appearance and surface profile. High-performance joint fillers and edge protection systems help reduce slab damage and minimize deterioration at control joints. To strengthen and protect the surface, Loral utilizes professional-grade lithium-based densifiers and penetrating sealers engineered to guard against moisture intrusion, abrasion, chemical exposure, and premature wear.

These treatment systems increase surface hardness, enhance light reflectivity, control dusting, and improve long-term durability in demanding commercial and industrial environments.
